The Real Tim Jones Contest
Tim Jones is running a contest over at therealtimjones.com. If the last name sounds familiar it’s because he is my cousin. While I have been on the web doing things for a long time I really haven’t made an effort to make any money at all. But there becomes a time when you need to turn your web hobby into something more. The contest he is running asks you to sign up for market leverage, they are a affiliate program. He is offering some great prizes for signing up. Visit his link for the contest details. I would also recommend subscribing to his RSS feed. If you really want to make money online he can be a great resource.
Busy Weekend, No Time to Geocache
I was really hoping to go geocaching this weekend. We were headed up north for a funeral but I figured that between family things and sleeping I could head out into the woods to see what I could find. It ended up being a lot of family, which is alright, and way to cold to go anywhere. I have always been the one to underdress for the weather. But when it is 30 degrees and rain/snow is coming down you really need some form of a coat.
We stayed at an interesting place when we were up there. It is the Chateau Lodge where ever room is a different theme. Our room was the cowboy room. It’s always nice to stay at places that aren’t just like every other hotel.
It’s now Sunday and I’m working on Christmas lights. Someone nearby already turned their Christmas lights on this weekend. I still think we are going to wait until Thanksgiving to turn our light show on. We have the trees built so I will make sure to take pictures and put them up on Lights 2 Music.
Barack not Wasting Time for Change
Barack Obama has registered Change.gov. He really wants to make sure that you are aware that he is going to change things. It has been his mission since he started. I really like that he took his campaign online and continues to do things online. It looks like that website is where he is going to keep everyone updated on what he is doing until he gets sworn in.
Christmas Lights Synced to Music
This year I am syncing my Christmas lights to music. The video above is me testing my light o rama controller. Visit Lights 2 Music to follow my setup and to see more videos.
Deleted Content
Well it looks like my hosting company has restored a backup from a couple of weeks ago. That means all changes to the site I have made since then are gone. I’m working on putting things back together. I hope to have everything back soon.

Trip to St. Louis, Bad Hotel Stay
We spent last weekend in St. Louis at a Cardinals game. It was a good time but the hotel stay was pretty bad. I won’t mention the hotel because they are in transition and they did give us a free night stay. But I want to share some stories which i thought were funny. We got to the room and it was about 80 degrees, hot. It was 90 outside and we wanted to cool down. The room also had trash in it and everything in the room was unplugged. Now we can pick up a little trash but we wanted the air fixed. So we called down and they sent someone up. While we were waiting we noticed that throw pillows had some black, almost like grease, substance on them. When the air guy came up we told him these pillow were gross and to take them away, he did. He did his thing with the air and left. We were sitting in the room just talking before we headed to the arch when there was a knock on the door, it was a maid. She said that she had some pillows for us. We took the pillow and she left. Wouldn’t you know but the pillows were same pillows that we gave the air guy about 45 minutes earlier. We just laughed about it and went on our way. I just couldn’t believe they brought us the same nasty pillows back. It makes me really nervous when I think about how gross hotels are.
Oh and the air wasn’t fixed. We sweated all night after we got back.
Overall the trip was really fun. We went to the cardinals game, went to the river boat, went up in the arch and went geocaching in the city. Now we get a free stay so we will have to do all the fun stuff again.
Life = Risk
I thought this was a really cool video on just how life is. Don’t be afraid to take risks.

Laugh at Apple Goodness
I thought these things were too funny not to share. I can’t embed photos right now so the following link is a picture to a wonderful Mac Fanboy. I think he went a little far.

The following video is an Apple MacBook Air parody.
* This post was typed on a MacBook Pro running Leopard 10.5.2. I thought I better add that before someone yells at me.
