Geocaching this Afternoon
I went geocaching this afternoon with Sarah. I had only been once before but Sarah had never been. I let her take control and lead us in the right direction. Yes that is quite difficult for me to do. I think it’s a Jones thing or a male thing. We bought the Garmin 60CSx, which is really nice. Garmin you need to send me one so we don’t have to share. We generally use Macs as our primary machines and of course most Garmin software isn’t Mac compatible. So I spent some time finding what software was compatible and got that loaded up. A really nice feature that works on Mac is “Send to GPS”. That’s really all you need along with a www.geocaching.com account, my name there is jeremywjones. You can send the caches to your GPS it stores them in there, mark them when done and logon to the site and put them in your log. I’ll probably buy MacGPS Pro too just for the added features.
The two caches we did this afternoon were really fun. We will have a lot of fun with this.
I wanted to say thanks to Tim for bringing this up. Sarah is ready to go after your 1800 finds.

It’s not a male thing. I try to get my wife to take the GPSr, but she would rather have me do it. That way she can score the find while I’m looking at the arrow. It’s a girl thing!
